Two Concerts in Two Nights

For Brad's 30th Birthday, I bought him tickets to see Theory of a Deadman at the Spencer Fair on Sunday.   We were also invited to hop on a party bus and go to the Hairball concert at King Turkey Days on Saturday night.   It was a busy couple of nights.

Spencer Fair 2013

A summer in NW Iowa is just not complete without going to the Spencer Fair.   There is so much to do and see.   Cooper had a blast looking at the animals, riding the rides, having supper and looking at all the tractors.

The Big 3!

Cooper John Fischer turned 3 today. 

He is a happy, healthy little boy that has stolen the heart of so many people.  At his well child check up, he was 38 pounds (94th percentile) and 40 inches tall (91st percentile). 

We had his birthday party, which was a SuperHero Theme.  He was able to have lots of family and friends come to help him celebrate.  We had a burger bar, chips, dip and cupcakes made with love by Grandma Grace (GG). 

 

 

Nathan + Nicole

Nate & Nicole Rockman got married this weekend.  We were invited to the wedding and reception at Gull Point.  We pulled the camper up there on Friday night and spent the whole weekend.   It was a very hot, muggy day.   But we made the most of it and had a blast with our friends.

Labor Day Weekend 2013

We really wanted to try to go camping with Jon & Ashley, Chelsea & Dustin, Holly & Nate and Ashley & Keith this year. 

We were able to get most of us there.  We decided to camp out at Johnny's farm as most places were full because it was labor day weekend and we didn't plan enough in advance. 

Wild Water West

Melanie VanGelder and I decided to pack the kids up and head to Sioux Falls to spend the day at Wild Water West Waterpark.  It was a hot day, but the wind was a bit chilly.   Katrin, Cooper and Brooke had a blast.   I think Cooper and I went up and down the big slide over 15 times.  I wish I would have had a waterproof fitbit to see how many flights of stairs I did that day.

Brad's 30th Birthday

You only turn 30 once in your life.   Unless you are a women.  Then you just keep having your 29th birthday over and over again.  You start having anniversaries of your 29th birthday. 

We invited a bunch of our friends to come to our house for the weekend.  We got on a bus, went over to Okoboji, had drinks and appetizers at the Ritz, then loaded the pontoon at Oak Hill Rentals. 

We finished off the night by heading to the Alley in Sibley and then back to our house.
