Annual Fischer Camping Adventure

For the last couple of years, we've been going to Dennis & Deb's house in St. Croix Falls, WI for a camping weekend.   This year was nothing different.

This is the time a year that I will sleep in a tent voluntarily.   :)

4th of July 2013

For the 4th of July this year, we decided to stay close to home.  Really close to home.  :)  We camped at the Sibley campground with Jake & Abby Schutte.  They have a little boy named Wyatt that is just a few months younger than Cooper.   If you ask Cooper what his name is, it's Little Wyatt because we already have a big cop Wyatt.

We had a fun weekend with the boys playing together.

Enjoying some time on the boat

Hanging out on the tube.

Its not 4th of July without fireworks.

Keith & Ashley Fischer

Saturday, June 15, 2013 was one of the best weddings ever!  One of my best friends married my brother in law, making her my sister-in-law.   Who would have thought that 4 years ago at our own wedding, that a spark would ignite in these two and they would get married?   We are so fortunate to have been apart of their big day.

We love you guys!

Oh, and what's one more Ashley Fischer?  :)

Cleaning Your Washing Machine - A MUST DO!

Cleaning Your Washing Machine - A MUST DO FOR ALL!

I thought it was crazy when I read on Pinterest that people were cleaning their washing machines.  That's the appliance that's supposed to clean your clothes right?  Why would it be dirty?  Oh boy, was I wrong!

Here are the before and after photos of my washing machine.

Gross - right?  The blue gunk in the bottom left-hand phot is fabric softner.  I'm done using that stuff!!

Here is what I did:

1.  Fill the washer with HOT water. Add 1 quart of chlorine bleach - no detergent – and let the machine agitate for a minute, then let it sit for one hour.

2.  After one hour, allow the washer to run through its longest wash and spin cycle.

3.  Immediately fill the washer with HOT water again and add 1 quart distilled white vinegar. Let agitate for a minute, and again, let it sit for one hour.

4.  While it is soaking, dip a scrubber sponge in the vinegar water and detail all the nooks and crannies of your washer, including the knobs, the lid and the exterior.

5.  After one hour, allow the washer to run through its longest wash and spin cycle, again.

6.  I made sure to do the first load with the clean washer as a load of towels.  I just wanted to make sure that no clothing was ruined!

Thanks to this

New Home

We are so very lucky to have the parents we have. They are very supportive in our decisions and have done so much for us throughout the years. We moved back to Sibley in April 2011. Almost two years ago already!
Since we moved, we have looked at every house on the market from $50,000 to $150,000. We have finally found something in our price range and has the layout and yard that we are looking for.
There will be a lot of work ahead of us, but we are very excited! We have submitted our first offer and are now just waiting for answer on our offer. I have never been so anxious in my life!
Wish us luck in this new adventure!
