Crawling, or maybe not?

I tired to upload these photos to YouTube, but it's being difficult!   Anyway, we have a semi-crawler.  He's army crawling now.  It's very cute.

On Sunday, May 1st, he started doing this army crawl.  I was home to witness it.  Right now (May 4th), I am in Apple Valley at training.  I have been able to Skype with Cooper and Daddy.  They decided to put the computer on one side of the living room and sit Cooper on the other.  He went from butt to stomach and crawled over to the computer.  Thank goodness for Skype!  I can't wait to get home to see it in person again.   He picks up on things so quickly.

Here are some videos from Sunday.  I'll post more from later this week during the weekend so you can see how he's improving so fast!

Real Food

On Sunday, we decided to grind up some lasagna that Grandma Julie made.  It was the best idea ever!  He absolutely loved it.  He found it very funny to hold the spoon, too.

Love the outdoors, even if it isn't 90 degrees!

Here are a couple pictures of our outdoor adventures.  Cooper absoultely loves being outside and feeling the breeze.  He went in a swing for the first time.  At first he wasn't so sure about it, but then he started to enjoy it.

Cooper also got his first Camaro ride too!  It may have only been from the back garage to the front garage, but as you can tell from the picture, he was so happy to be in Grandpa's Camaro.  Daddy hopes the car is his someday.

He had a bunch of firsts.  We went around the block in Uncle Michael's golf cart.  It it wasn't so cold, we would have gone further.  The joys of living in a small town!

ENJOY THE PHOTOS!!  Hopefully there will be more soon!

$2 Walker

We are having a garage sale in a couple weeks.  Everyone was bringing their stuff in and Grandma Julie noticed a walker.  We had been looking for one in the stores, but every store wanted $50 or more for them.  This one was used and had a price of $2.  Grandma bought it on the spot.

It was the BEST PURCHASE EVER!  He abosultely loves it.  It only took him 1 day to figure out that he could now go where ever he wants.  He is so excited about it.  You almost have to hide it if you don't want him to be in it.  He also loves to have food on his tray.  We call it his "fuel".

Check out the video & photos below.  You'll enjoy them!

Easter 2011

It's that time of the year again, Easter time!

Unfortunately, Mommy & Daddy had to go to St. Cloud to get their house in order for the renters so they had to leave Cooper with Grandma, Grandpa, Chelsea & Jenna.  They did a great job taking care of him, but they had to miss out on his first Easter.

Chelsea & Jenna took him to the Easter bunny in Sibley.  They were disappointed that they were only high school girls in white sweats and painted faces.  They decided to drive him over to Ocheyedan where there was a "real" Easter bunny.

Cooper got his "Cooper Bear" with matching book and another book from the Easter bunny.

Here are some pictures of that day too.

They got me to play with Barbies!

Baptism

Cooper was finally baptized this weekend.  We were finally able to get our lives together and a date that worked for everyone.  We had a bunch of guests at Grandma Julie's house.

Cooper's godparents are:
Chelsea Luedeman
Jenna Luedeman
Cody Mathues

Great Grandma & Grandpa Ebbinga came back from Arizona and came to see Cooper right away.  He's changed a lot since the last time they saw him.  It's been over 5 months since they seen him.  A lot changes in that short period of time.

I should point out that he did GREAT during the service.  He fell asleep shortly after church started for his AM nap.  He slept until they poured the water on his head.  He then slowly woke up but didn't fuss at all.  Even being in front of a stranger (Pastor) and a full congregation.  What a great kid!

Here are some pictures from this important day in his life.

7 Months

Cooper is 7 months old today.  Here are some highlights of what he's up to!

*He can roll with the best of them.  Not crawling yet, but oh, so close!
*Always smiling!  I have never come across a baby as happy as he is.
*I figured out that he always wants what he can't have.  This includes cords, remotes, and of course, my cell phone.
*He also loves all the cheap and simple toys over his big expensive ones.  He would rather have a piece of paper or a box over anything else
*Every once in a while he wakes up in the middle of the night.  We just put his nuk in and he's back asleep.

Puppies, see you later!

We decided to give up our dogs for adoption.  It was a very hard decision,  but it was made for the dogs.  Lizzie and Drake went to a great home in Champlin with a family that is taking GREAT care of them.  We recently got a message from their new mom.  I thought I would share that (and some photos of them) so everyone can see how great of a family they went to.

This was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. Not a day goes by that we don't think about them.

"They are wonderful. Drake and my daughter are best of friends she has taught him some funny tricks he's very smart and in June we are starting therapy dog training with him. We will be attending classes together twice a week for about 6 months. He has a great personality for this. Then we can go to nursing homes together. Lizzie she's such a princess, she has my husband and I wrapped around her paw. We love playing catch and she carries her orange ball everywhere, I did get her new balls but she loves the orange one the best. I can't wait to get home to them everyday. You did such a nice job training them and socializing them. I know you miss them and it was very hard for you to give them up. I assure you they are very well cared for and are getting tons of attention. You know you are not a bad person for rehoming your dogs, you are brave and it shows your love and compassion for Lizzie and Drake. You made sure they were going to a good place. I am a financial planner and I work with people in difficult situations especially with this economic down turn, they have to make decisions that at the time they don't want to make, but making that choice makes your future better. For what ever reason you gave these two up, it's because you knew it's what needed to be done at this time in your life. Things will get better for you and your family and I hope you are able to get another dog when the time is right. You are caring and loving and these dogs so wonderfully adjusted because of you. I bet you are an amazing mother to your child and I hope you enjoy every moment trust me it goes so fast. Take care."

Thank you Evers Family!!

And to you, Lizzie & Drake...  this is NOT goodbye, it's a see you later!  We love you and miss you every day.

Blue Bike Studios

I met Barb Aaberg at the bank.  She owns Blue Bike Studios out of Palmer, MN.  She did an absolutely wonderful job!  We couldn't have been happier with the photos.  Here are some of them.

We're moving to IOWA!

Yes, you read that correctly.  We are moving to IOWA!

I took a different job with AgStar Financial Services as a Home Mortgage Specialist.  I am very excited about the position and can not wait to get started!  My office will be located in Worthington, MN so we will be able to live in Sibley.  I'm ecstatic that Cooper will be able to go to school at Sibley-Ocheyedan.

After going through a very lengthy application and interview process, I found out that I got a job at AgStar today.  We couldn't be more excited!  Since it's St. Patricks Day, I guess it's my lucky day!

I will be starting on April 4th, so we've gotta kick it into high gear. Here is what we have to do:
*Get our basement done
*Put our house on the market
*Or rent it out
*Pack up our essentials
*Physically move to IA
*And BRAD FIND A JOB!

Wish us luck!

New Friends Everywhere!

There were seven girls on our volleyball team.  Four of the sevem girls (myself included) found out that we were pregnant during the winter of 2009.  Three of us had our babies, and they were 5 weeks apart.

Lauren Rose was born on August 13th.  Cooper John was born on September 7th (3 weeks later).  Carson was born on September 18th (11 days after Cooper).

Crazy huh?  There must have been something in the water at Whitney Center.  We were never able to get all three babies together, BUT we were able to get Cooper together with Lauren and Carson, seperately.

Here are a couple videos of those interactions.  I love seeing Cooper around other babies.  It's so cute!

6 Months Old Already!

I know everyone says this, but I can't believe how fast time is flying by.  I really wasn't a huge fan of ages 0-4mo, but 4mo+ has been GREAT!  He interacts so much more with us (and everyone else for that matter). He talks and jabbers all the time to let you know that he wants your attention.  He loves to pull hair, play with my necklace, bit my shoulders and tear his toys apart.  He is definitely all boy!

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, but he doesn't seem to be scared of anyone.  He isn't even scared of loud noises anymore.  This is probably from our dogs barking.  But he loves when people talk to him and even say "Boo!" and "Rawr!".  He will probably say "Hi" before mama or dada.

Cooper has become such a flirt.  He always smiles at everyone.  He is such a happy baby.  We couldn't be happier!

At his 6 month check up he weighed 17lbs (90%) and was 28 1/2 inches long (70%).  Dr Hart could not believe how well he was sitting and playing by himself.

He can sit and then lay down, roll over from stomach to back and vice versa.  But we are not to the crawling stage yet.  It will come, but I like him being immobile now.  We don't have to worry that he's getting into too much trouble.

Here are some photos of him, again!

All smiles.

Happy Boy!

Getting into everything already

Poor little man was sick for a while.

He has TWO teeth!

Cooper now has TWO teeth!  Those things are sharp too!  He's now eating two stage 2 buckets of food at night too.  Along with 10+oz of formula.  He's a growing boy.

He loves to chew on everything in sight, but really doesn't drool a whole lot.  I am not going to complain.

Here is a picture of his smile/laugh/two teeth.  Enjoy!

Sitting up like a big boy!

We've hit another milestone.  Our little man is sitting up all on his own now.  He will sit on the floor and play with toys for hours now.  We thought he would do really well in the tub then too.  Oh no!  He kept falling over and actually took a nose dive into the water.  He ended up swallowing a bunch of water but brushed it off and kept playing.  He's going to be one tough kid!

Big Boy Car Seat

He's been upgraded!  We were sick of carting him around in his car seat carrier.  He was getting really heavy too!  I think he is so much happier in his big boy car seat.  He seems to have more room to kick and move around.  He sits up now instead of laying back, which is a huge plus.

I just can't stop taking photos of this little guy.  He is just too cute!  Here are a bunch of photos.  Go figure!

It's so hard to choose my favorites.  But he is certainly adorable!
